I got a little carried away with my Fire Warriors, and by that I mean, I finished them and didn't take that many pictures :( sorry my bad.
I got some Fire Warriors and a bunch of other tau bits from a friend at my local GW,
Not the best models to work with in the world but it is a start.
My first thought when seeing these models was "oh hell how will I save these", I think I managed it though.
First off I undecorated them all in chaos black spray, this proved to cover up the not to brilliant paint job very well, I did however lose some detail.
Second I applied a coat of Mechrite Red onto all the armour sections, this gave me a good base red to work from.
Thirdly I mixed Mechrite Red and Red Gore 2/1 and layered over the original Mechrite.
Fouth I touched up all the material with Chaos Black, then used Adeptus Battlegrey to pick out the right shoulder and a section on the left shoulder pad.
Finally for the moment I washed the whole model in Badab Black to dirty it up a bit, then applied snow and grass to the base to give a change of season feel.
Still a little work to be done but so far so good any suggestions would be welcomed, I also built my broadside see below.
